Mike Myers will play Keith Moon in a movie on "The Who" written and produced by Roger Daltrey et al. Should be cool.

Andy....spot on!!!! Wonder how they'll handle the drumming stuff with Mike Myers? One to anticipate I feel, although I can see a solo cinema trip looming, as I don't think that this will have a 'couple' appeal?? [img]graemlins/wonder.gif[/img]

I can't imagine it will be any good -- and will probably be more sad than anything else. He was a very troubled person.

In any case, how will they film the drumming? I think it will end up more Sweet Dreams than Coal Miner's Daughter.

I think Myers would make a great Keih Moon! He is one of the more talented actors and would do the most respectful job.

But MM is already in his 40s and KM was 32 when he died. His real time was in his 20s. (remember Kevin Spacey in Beyond the Sea?)

But again, I just don't see the point. Is Keith Moon's life that worth dramatizing. It isn't as if we don't have video of him.

I guess part of this is a rant against the desire to probe the depths of famous people's private lives. I don't care what musicians' lives are like, particularly. I care about the music, but . . .

I'm a little different I guess. I wasn't a big fan because I hadn't opened my ears, but when recording, the producer told me I had a "Moon" vibe I had to go and take a listen........HOLY CRAP WHAT WAS I MISSING?

Anyway, I enjoy finding more about the people we put up on pedestals. That's why most of us are on here it looks like. (Vinnie, Weckle, etc.....) What if they made a Vinnie movie....who would play him, drumaddict?
